Partner with the festival

Amazonia Program · Authorized Centers · Partner tiers · Jury & mentors

The festival's partnerships run through one programme — the HKAIIFF Amazonia Program — and open along three routes: host an AI Film Hackathon city station as an Authorized Center, join as a partner or sponsor in one of six tiers, or serve as a city jury member or mentor. Partnership is year-round and is not tied to the festival calendar.

HKAIIFF partnerships sit under the Amazonia Program, the festival's partnership programme announced on 20 July 2026 and open to copyright platforms, distributors, financing institutions, AI technology companies, production companies, academic institutions and city organisations. There are three ways to take part: host an AI Film Hackathon city station as an Authorized Center; join as a partner or sponsor in one of six tiers (title, strategic, AI tool, brand challenge, venue, media); or serve as a city jury member or mentor. Partnership never affects the festival's independent jury. Contact partnership@hkaiiff.org.

One programme: the HKAIIFF Amazonia Program

A rainforest does not grow by decree; it grows because every organism gives and receives. The Amazonia Program brings that logic to the AI film industry: rather than one-off bilateral deals, partners join a standing ecosystem in which platforms, technology, production, academia and cities each find a niche.

The programme is open to seven types of organisation — copyright platforms, distribution platforms, financing institutions, AI technology companies, production companies, academic institutions and city organisations — across four cooperation directions: index integration, market collaboration, city-station hosting and talent development.

Everything on this page — hosting a hackathon station, sponsoring a station, serving on a city jury — is a way of taking part in that one programme.

How partnership works

Co-hosting, not purchasing

Stations run on a co-host model based on resource exchange and mutual brand value. A partner's contribution is venue, tools, community or reach — not a fee.

The jury stays independent

No partnership tier influences selection, screening or awards at a city station or at the festival. Final decisions rest with the official jury alone.

Standards are not for sale

The 51% participation standard, A-Class accreditation and INDEX records are applied identically to partners' and non-partners' work.

Year-round, from Hong Kong

The programme is administered by the HKAIIFF Association and runs year-round; partnership is not tied to the festival week.

FAQ

Is the Amazonia Program the same thing as sponsoring the hackathon?

No. The Amazonia Program is the festival's overall partnership programme; sponsoring or hosting a hackathon city station is one of the ways to take part in it, alongside index integration, market collaboration and talent development.

Does hosting or sponsoring require a cash contribution?

Hosting runs on a co-host model based on resource exchange — venue, equipment, community and local operations — rather than a fee. Sponsor tiers are defined by what a partner provides (naming, tools, a brand challenge, a venue, coverage); the terms are agreed case by case.

Can a partner influence who wins at a city station or at the festival?

No. City juries and the festival's official jury decide independently. The City Selection Seat is a flag in the Global Submission Center, not a guarantee of selection, and no tier changes that.

Where are city stations listed?

City stations, their dates and their local hosts are published on hkaiiff.io, the festival's operations platform. This site explains the programme and the routes into it.

Who do I write to?

partnership@hkaiiff.org for programme-level partnership; the hosting and partner pages each carry their own application form.
