Official Release | AI Film Industry Whitepaper 2026 Now Online
Today, the Hong Kong AI International Film Festival Association, together with the International Artificial Intelligence Film Producers Association (FIAPFIA) and the International Artificial Intelligence Audiovisual Asset Indexing Standards Alliance (IAISA), formally releases the AI Film Industry Whitepaper 2026. This is the world's first systematic whitepaper focused on the AI film industry. It is neither a tool inventory nor a retrospective summary of an existing industry; it aims to establish a shared language, evaluation scale and industry map for AI-native cinema now being born. The whitepaper defines the boundary of AI-native cinema with the "51%+ AI participation" standard—not by counting how many pixels in a frame were AI-generated, but by assessing whether AI workflows have a weighted leading role in core creative decisions; it reaffirms creator responsibility through the Conductor Theory—just as an orchestra conductor need not play every instrument, the core value of creators in the AI era lies in intent-setting, aesthetic judgment and human–machine orchestration; and it includes a dedicated chapter for the AI-Native Cinema Manifesto. The full whitepaper is available for online reading on the official website from today. Citations must credit the source.
