Anyone can join HKAIIFF AI Film Hackathon. No film background. No coding required. Solo or in a team of 1–5. Spend 72 hours making something with AI as your real creative partner, then refine it for another 7 days online. Costs you don't pay

Participation in the on-site sprint is free. The station's hosting partner provides venue, internet, and basic equipment. You are responsible for travel and accommodation if you come from out of town.

Solo or team (1–5 people)

Most strong work tends to come from teams of 2–3 with complementary skills. But solos are absolutely welcome — many AI film breakthroughs come from one person and a stack of tools.

Earning a HKAIIFF Recommended Submission slot does not equal automatic selection, screening, or any award at the Festival. All selected projects must complete formal submission through the HKAIIFF Global Submission Center. Final selection, programming, and award decisions rest solely with the official jury of the Hong Kong AI International Film Festival.
